**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Patient Care:** Provide direct nursing care to patients according to established protocols and best practices, ensuring the safety and comfort of each patient.
- **Assessment and Diagnosis:** Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and accurately document findings to establish individualized care plans and goals.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- **Medication Administration:** Safely administer medications and monitor patients for effectiveness and side effects, educating patients about their medications and care.
- **Patient Education:** Instruct patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, post-discharge care, and lifestyle modifications to promote wellness and prevention.
- **Documentation:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- **Patient Advocacy:** Act as a patient advocate, addressing concerns and providing support for patients and their families throughout the healthcare experience.
- **Emergency Response:** Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions according to protocol.
- **Professional Development:** Stay current with nursing practices, participate in continuing education, and engage in team training and development opportunities.

**Qualifications:**

- **Education:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- **Licensure:** Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Louisiana.
- **Experience:** Previous nursing experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities is preferred.
- **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- **Skills:** Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, effective communication (verbal and written), ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to lift and move patients 
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for performing procedures
